About the Item

A solid wood dining table by Thomas Hayes Studio with a chrome plated steel stretcher. The double pedestal eye-shaped legs are made of solid stacked laminate wood and the top has double layer of inset solid brass inlay. Table is available with or without the brass inlay. It is available for custom order in other sizes, woods and finishes, or alternately with a glass or marble top. Lead time is 6-10 weeks; sometimes we are able to complete projects faster, so please inquire about lead time. This particular table is in Walnut with Bleached & Blanched Oil finish and brushed architectural bronze that matches the inlay. Wood options: Solid walnut, oak and mahogany. Finish options: A variety of Satin Lacquer and Oil finishes are available; please inquire for all wood/finish options. Note: The oil finishes are flat, water proof and penetrate deeply, bonding with the upper fibers of the wood to create a silky surface that feels “finished” but looks like raw wood. Stretcher options: Architectural bronze, chromed steel with a flat clear coat (as pictured here), chrome plated steel with a glossy clear coat or dark bronze finished steel Condition: For any custom pieces with solid wood or wood veneer, we deliberately choose to use beautifully figural wood that may have some irregularities. You can expect much variation in grain and some knots, slight cracks, and small filled knot holes that are naturally occurring in the completed pieces. It is part of our aesthetic and process when making handcrafted pieces to not attempt to hide these natural irregularities that we believe make a piece more beautiful and unique.
