About the Item

Long natural travertine stone dining table with heavy rectangular top, and box travertine bottom. The top of this beautiful dining table is carved from a single slab and features a smooth finish and very thick 3" beveled edge. This vintage piece was made in Italy circa 1970s by the Stone International SPA and is rare as it is no longer in production. Reinforced underside for extra stability at each corner. Very heavy. The large heavy top rests upon a hollow center block that sits under the center of the tabletop. The top is also of the same travertine stone. Comfortably seating 6, this table would make either a great dining table or conference table. We suggest using this table as a dining table. We imagine it for a Spring Supper with friends. Dressed with tall white tapered candles, bold tableware, (see our set of green glass plates, wine glasses, and dessert plates). Ribbon chairs in lucite or a bold color would add the finishing touch. It would be a striking and interesting conversation piece for any occasion. The underside has original stamps and markings. of "Italy", the original item number as well as the Stone International Company sticker. How We Would Style It: A wonderful statement piece of natural stone, this dining table will bring warmth and make a fantastic addition to any dining room.
