An impressive 1970 polished stainless steel and glass model 2532 Marcuso dining table by important and influential Italian architect and designer Marco Zanuso for Zanotta.
Modernist architectural form comprised of a trio of four inch diameter tubular columns on a 28 inch diameter disc base. Substantial .63 inch-thick glass top is invisibly bonded to machined stainless steel caps with black plastic trim. Marked "Zanotta – Made in Italy" on underside of base.
Alongside frequent collaborator Richard Sapper, Marco Zanuso (b. 1916–2001) designed and championed forward-thinking furniture, accessories, and architecture with a sculpturally Minimalist aesthetic, of which this uncommon table is an excellent example.
