English Regency Rosewood One Drawer Drop-Leaf Side Table Delicate Turned Legs

About the Item

English Regency period rosewood one drawer drop-leaf side table with delicate turned, tapered legs. The sewing basket that originally hung below the drawer has been removed and replaced with a pullout / pull-out leathered slide; the original framing and rosewood front of the sewing basket has been retained, just the fabric removed and the opening to the basket replaced with a leathered surface. The rosewood is exceptionally Fine quality. Each drop-leaf when lifted will add 7 3/4" to the width (so the table can go from 15 1/2" wide to 23 1/4" wide to 31" wide when both are lifted), circa 1815.
