    Drop leaf tea or serving cart from the shop of Peter Hunt . While this piece is not signed it is clearly the work of his shop . I purchased from the estate of a Peter Hunt collector along with a few other Hunt pieces . Drop leaves are 9 and 7/8" wide . Original caster wheels are functional but do have flat spots . The work of Peter Hunt is best described as folk art or naive art . Born in New Jersey lived briefly in Greenwich village after WW1 . He gained recognition after moving to Provincetown in the late 1920s . The 1930s 40s and 50s saw his star rise . Popular for his art form of taking refinished furniture...
