Pair of Handcrafted Oak & Walnut Tables
About the Item
Pair of Architectural post-modern English quartersawn oak & American walnut pillar end tables or nightstands. Designed by us and handcrafted in England using traditional techniques from fully quarter-sawn English oak and American black walnut. Large hand-cut detail dovetail jointing and turned walnut upright pillar piercing through the sections with hidden weight bearing support collar to the surfaces. These are multi functioning pieces of furniture and can also be used as nightstands or end tables etc. Our tables are substantial, visually bold and striking pieces of handmade furniture, handcrafted by our skilled craftsmen in small runs only and are made to last. Hand finished in durable Osmo oil.
Alternative design versions are shown in final images including American Black Walnut.

We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
