Arthur Elrod was one of the top designers in Palm Springs during the 1950s-1970s with A-list clients, before tragically being killed in an auto accident in 1974, he designed these large scale custom end tables or nightstands in the 1965 for a California interior commission, provenance by request. The interior was featured in House and Garden in 1974, in which Elrod designed the complete interior. Original finish to be restored prior to shipping.
Arthor Elrod is the famed Palm Springs designer, who's own home designed by architect John Launter was featured in the James Bond movie diamonds are forever.
Elrod will receive a star on the walk of stars outside the architecture and design center in Palm Springs during modernism week 2019, there is a book to be released the same week titled Arthur Elrod: Desert modern design by Adele Cygelman. January 2019 Issue of Palm Springs Life has an article title Elrod Eternal.
