Rare 18th Century English Elm Turned Leg Table
About the Item
Rare and unusual 18th century English elm tripod table with balustrade turned shaft supported by turned legs ending in blunt arrow feet. This lovely example is in a perfect state of preservation, with no repairs and having excellent color. Often referred to as "thrown" tables, these tables were the works of turners (or throwers) rather than joiners and are always very country in origin.
