Antique Country French Trestle Dining Table in Solid Oak, circa 1700s

About

Antique country French trestle dining or kitchen room table. When this antique French table arrived from the town of tours, (best known as the end point for the Paris-Tours Bicycle race) the top was in rough shape and was probably replaced during its life. So, our old plank craftsmen got busy and crafted a new dining tabletop, from old imported recycled French white oak that we brought in from France. The trestle dining table base, looks to be from the 1700s and has an incredible, all original patina, which we did not disturb. The dining tabletop was hand scraped to match the patina of the base and looks to be a perfect match.
