Garry Knox Bennett "Africa Table and Four Chairs

About the Item

A custom 'Africa' table with figured maple parquetry top, burnished aluminum frame with polychrome stacked laminate trim, the underside with "OAKLAND GKB ANNO 88 / TOP CHANGED IN 1992-93" Four 'Africa' chairs in carved figured maple with loose hanging laminate bead accented slats and hammered metal rivets. These were commissioned for Michael Shapiro of the High Museum in 1988.
