Victorian Wicker Sewing Stand

About the Item

Part of a large collection of ornate Victorian wicker that was collected over the years by a Senator's wife. Rectangular in shape, this Victorian wicker sewing stand has a dome lid, ornate curlicue trim, an under basket for works in progress and bead work. It is ornately woven with a removable lid and ball feet. This would be perfect for the needle pointer, handy crafter, or seamstress in the family.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. The sewing stand is structurally sound.. One of the sides is in perfect condition, but a few curlicues are loose or missing on 3 of the four sides. Considering the age, it is in good shape and very attractive. See photographs.
