Antique Red Painted Wood Display Pedestal from Sweden, circa 1840-1860

About the Item

This round, hand-painted wood pedestal from Sweden is an exceptional find due to the highly original painted finish. A brick red background is complimented by a blue-green faux marble finish inside the paneled accents. Restored and waxed, this painted column is ready to be placed and enjoyed; perfect to display a special sculpture or collectible you want to give special focus and attention. The many chips, cracks, nicks, and age-related separation of wood do not impact function/stability and reflect the many generations of use this unique display column has recieved. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
