About

Delightfull side table called Tambour (Drum) due to its round shape. Marquetry on all faces- as well as lower shelf- representing small vases, flowers, inkwell with its feather in mahogany, sycamore and Kingwood veneering on oak. Attributed to Charles Topino(1742-1803) and typical of Transition LouisXV -Louis XVI style
Comes with two drawers(locks and key) and rests on three graceful legs having gilded bronze sabots mounted feet. White Carrara marble top inserted in a brass band.
Topino wanted his still life (marquetry) to have a naive charm and be more a decor than a picture.
