About the Item
This hand-carved wood side table with black stained top is a new edition from Erik Gustafson.
Gustafson’s inspiration stems from a love of the history of art, architecture and design. Gustafson pieces are inherently tactile, they invite one to touch and grasp them. In imagining his pieces, Gustafson blends his own creativity and vision with traditions of Fine craftsmanship and knowledge of organic materials.
Born June 5, 1971 in Flint, Michigan, Erik Gustafson has been designing and building furniture for over 20 years. Following a painting degree from the Art Institute of Chicago, Gustafson taught himself woodworking. He loves the problem solving involved in furniture construction and the ability to combine his love for art and design with fine craftsmanship.
