French 19th Century Fruitwood Rafraichissoir Table
About the Item
A French rafraîchissoir table from circa 1870, made of fruitwood with brass buckets. Functioning like a bar cart or dry bar, the square occasional table is adapted to keeping beverages cold by placing them in removable, brass ice buckets set flush within the surface. This example orients the buckets to the left side, leaving space to the right side for preparing one’s drink. Its small drawer in the apron is perfect for storing bar tools and cocktail napkins. Gorgeous turned legs support two lower shelves for additional storage and display surface. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to maintain the lustre of the wood, this antique table is ready for your next event.
