Hand Carved Antique Adirondack Table Stand circa 1870s-1890

About the Item

An exceptional piece of rustic Adirondack furniture from a Lake Sunapee, NH camp circa 1870-1890. This stand features handcrafted birch casing decorated with late Victorian geometric motifs. The tripod legs are crafted almost entirely from a single conjoined branch and carved extensively in the Black Forest manner with scrolling leaves, red roses and a wonderfully toothy lion grotesque. Table top surface measures 25" x 13.75". Overall, 28" wide x 17.75" deep x 29.75" high.
