Pair of Handcrafted Night Stands, Bedside Tables
About the Item
A pair of walnut hand-crafted nightstands in the midcentury style. Constructed from finest American black walnut with the inner dovetailed jointed drawer carcass in English Oak. The upper box is detailed with hand-cut dovetail jointing. A light curve design is cut into the legs and follows along the facia. Designed by Sum furniture and handmade by our craftsmen in England. Hand finished in durable oil finish. A modernist design utilising traditional furniture craftsmanship and fine timbers.
Also available to order in Prime English Quartersawn oak as per final images in listing.
For custom orders we can offer alternative handle options - leather/cast metal/brass etc.

We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
