Mid Century Planter Side Table by George Nelson for Herman Miller

About the Item

This is a classic Mid-century modern planter table designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller. There were several variations of this versatile piece. This example features a warm teak veneer case, paired with a glass top, 2 integrated planter compartments, a single drawer and a single cubby shelf on the opposing side. Notably, this piece is teak rather then the more commonly seen walnut. It also retains its oversized “J” pull, a super rare hardware type. Both these details add to its collectability and visual appeal. Each planter measures 8.25" square The table is in overall excellent vintage condition with very minimal wear for it's age. Truly 9.5/10 condition. The planter liners are copper that have patinaed from use. The glass is new. The only imperfections worthy of noting are minor surface wear to the wood inside where the planters sit and one 1/2" impression in the wood on one of the front edges. See imaged.
