About the Item

Handsome and useful vintage small octagon shaped drum style side table cabinet with storage behind double doors, hand painted, and attributed to Artes De Mexico Internacionales, SA. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. It is in awesome vintage condition with lots of beautiful age patina. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa 1960s-1970s. What an INCREDIBLE drum side table!!! Versatile in style and versatile in purpose… you must have this wonderful little cabinet!! Attributed to Artes De Mexico Internacionales, and hand painted with a beautiful cream and gilt finish and adorned with gold trimmed arched panels on each of its eight sides depicting a hand painted interestingly clothed and colorful figure. Two of its sides are, actually, double opening doors with hand forged teardrop handles which open to ample useful storage. Perfect for anywhere you need a little side table or place for a cup of coffee or cocktail. It could even store a little liquor. This interesting piece will blend with so many design styles from mid-century modern to Hollywood Regency and from Spanish Revival to traditional. Artes de Mexico Internacionales, SA imported artisan handmade piece from Mexico to the US exclusively for sale to the trade. FYI to the trade means they were sold only to architects and interior designers and not to the public. This makes their pieces more exclusive so harder to find. In addition to the tag, some of their items were signed by the artists. So, do not confuse them with Artes de Mexico, which is a Los Angeles based shop selling, although beautiful pieces as well, production pieces to the public.
