19th Century Regency / William IV English Rosewood Sewing / Work Table

About the Item

This is a Regency / William IV Rosewood Sewing / Work Table made in England, circa 1825. The table is made of a very fine, beautiful, highly figured cut of Rosewood. The table is rectangular in shape with Chamfered Corners. The top has 2 String Inlays of Brass and has a Brass Inlay around the edge. The frame of the table is Inlayed with Brass and has Circular Medallions made of Ebony with Brass Inlays. The body of the table is done in a beautiful pleated material. The base is well turned with 4 High Kneed Regency Legs. Each leg is Inlayed in Brass and terminates on it's original Solid Brass Foot and Castor. There is a Solid Brass down turned Finial between the 4 legs. It measures 19 in. wide x 15 3/4 in. deep x 31 1/2 in. tall. This is a beautiful, very fine quality 200 year old Sewing / Work Table in a wonderful finish and physical condition.
