  • Terraliquida Low Table, by Claudio Silvestrin for Glas Italia in Stock
    By Claudio Silvestrin, Glas Italia
    Located in Macherio, IT
Terraliquida low table is shown here in the transparent extralight glasss. Low table composed of a parallelepiped Limestone stone with a monolithic appearance and an element in tempered 15 mm. thick glued 45° transparent extralight glass that rests on it. The stone parallelepiped has the sides in a split-face finish, whereas the top is flamed. The materiality, the gravity and the solidity of the stone juxtapose the lightness, the purity and the ethereality of the glass. Born in 1954, Claudio Silvestrin studied under A. G. Fronzoni in Milan and at the Architectural Association in London. His integrity, clarity of mind, inventiveness and concern for details is reflected in his architecture: austere but not extreme, contemporary yet timeless, calming but not ascetic, strong but not intimidating, elegant but not ostentatious, simple but not soulless. Claudio Silvestrin Architects was established in 1989 with offices in London, and since 2006 in Milan also. The work of the practice encompasses real estate developments, newly built houses, spas, private residences, art galleries and museums, domestic and retail interiors and furniture design. Clients include Giorgio Armani, illycaffé, Anish Kapoor, Calvin Klein, Poltrona Frau, Victoria Miro...

  • BISEL Coffee Table, by Patricia Urquiola for Glas Italia IN STOCK
    By Patricia Urquiola, Glas Italia
    Located in Macherio, IT
Collection of high tables, low tables and console, made in multi-layered and multichromatic glass, created by laminating five slabs of 5mm extralight glass each with a different colored film. The obtained glass sheets are in different shapes, shiny ground polished and “faceted” by means of unique bevels accentuating through the transparency of the glass the stunning multicolored material. The different components are then welded together in total clarity, by means of a special gluing technique, so creating very precious “furniture jewels”. Available in green or ochre finish. Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain) in 1961. Lives and works in Milan. She attended the School of Architecture of Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. From 1990 to 1992 she was assistant lecturer to both Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli in Milan and Paris. From 1990 to 1996 she was responsible for the new product development office of DePadova, working with Vico Magistretti. In 1996 she became head of Lissoni Associati’s design group. In 2001 she opens her own studio working on product design, architecture, installations. • L.A. SUNSET Midnight Blue Table, by Patricia Urquiola, Glas Italia IN STOCK
    By Patricia Urquiola, Glas Italia
    Located in Macherio, IT
Low round tables with tubular metal structure painted midnight blue or copper colour in a special metallic opaque finish. The top, in laminated glass, is a palette of colors on a mirrored background, blending and mixing with one another like gas or fluids, disguising the solid state of the material. The mirrored background lends a particular energy and brightness to these color tones. Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo (Spain) in 1961. Lives and works in Milan.
