rare Pietra Dura marble Table in antique Neoclassical Style inlay top

About the Item

Solid beechwood, carved and turquoise colored and polished gold-plated. Square frame on S-shaped curved volutes. Centrally a column ending in a rosette-shaped base. Four-sided base plate with classical decorations. The unique Pietra, Dura tabletop. The thickness of the plate is 3 cm. Here the manufacture is built according to traditional methods. The entire table is handmade. This technique is dominated by Italian and Indian artists worldwide. Completion of this record takes two to three months and four artists are required. The table is equipped with various semi-precious stones such as: lapis lazuli, malachite, jade, tiger eye, coral, cornelian and many others. The marble is more than 80kg.

The truly incredibly and colourful hardstone specimens have been meticulously chosen & inlaid to form the most gorgeous floral display. It is amongst the finest of its type. This masterpiece is displayed on its original carved work of sculptural art, a baluster stem with acanthus leaves and raised on four acanthus leaf scrolled feet, the gilding, burnished in parts to perfection and highlighting a palatial majesty.
