This incredible Art Nouveau work table is a one-of-a-kind tour de force of French cabinetmaking. The entire piece is handcrafted of a multitude of fine-grain fruitwoods carved, layered and inlaid into an elaborate and exquisite organic motif. A myriad of swags and curvilinear adornments encircle an intricate outdoor scene executed atop the lid. The underside of the lid reveals marquetry of the highest order and a velvet-lined interior suited for storing important items. The table is supported by delicate legs that are joined by a pierced and carved stretcher,

circa 1905.

Measures: 26 1/4" wide x 18 5/8" deep x 27 5/8" high.
