Stunning, practical and all hand-crafted chest of drawers with circular mirror. This museum quality and condition piece of furniture and work of art at the same time, dates back to the era of the British Aesthetic Movement. It is part of a unique bedroom suite that we acquired recently and we will be offering all pieces individually to the 1stdibs community. We could not believe that this vanity was not marked, because the quality simply is too good. The quality of the design, the wood, the details and the quality of the hand-painted, Chinese scenes make us want to attribute this bedroom suite to Gillow of Lancaster, but we just can't be sure. Thanks to its stylish design and thanks to the combination of the beautiful mahogany and the Chinese scenes having to do with courting this vanity breathes nothing but real class and true serenity. It was also for that reason that we chose to offer these pieces individually, because they will look great by themselves and in various types of interiors. Apart from a few truly minor imperfections, this 120 years old vanity with its excellent and beveled circular mirror could not be in a better condition. This antique beauty can easily be taken apart into 3 pieces (mirror, mirror stand and chest) which makes it safe and easy to ship and place also.
