French 18th century Vanity or Poudreuse with exquisite Marquetry Decor

This exquisite unique Louis XV vanity, or poudreuse, dates to the 1760s and originates from France. The dressing table features breathtaking marquetry décor, elegant brass fittings, and intricate detailing with floral motifs and musical instruments—a true masterpiece of 18th-century craftsmanship. The center section includes a flip-up mirror, flanked by two compartments with lift-top doors, originally designed for storing cosmetics and personal items. Below, the piece offers two drawers and a pullout writing surface. This Louis XV poudreuse has been fully refinished with a hand-polished shellac finish, enhancing its timeless elegance.
