Tendercool, for the 2018 Bangkok Art Biennale Aurèle, a French visual artist, born in 1963 has had several works sold at auction, including 'LostDog,' Dragon & Phoenix, (set of two), which was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong 'Contemporary Asian Art' in 2014. Tenderness Lost By Aurèle Ricard aka ‘LostDog’ For 30 years, the lost dog, the true leitmotif of my work, is in a constant search to help us become conscious of the threats of our contemporary society, on the economic and ecological level. He is a metaphor of our true existence; the LostDog is Me, You and most of all the Future Generations to whom I would like to leave a better world. The Lost Dog is a vessel transmuting thoughts into matter; “Wake up and face the reality." For my first exhibition in Bangkok, I wish to make a little retrospective of my universe. It’s more of a statement than a Classic exhibition. Amongst the works of art that I specifically produced in Thailand: Lost Dog in leather, a series of Gold and Palms; the eras blend and the pieces in porcelain from China, Stainless Steel or Bronze as well as the Neons, retrace the road that I have travelled and the countries I have crossed, with always the same philosophy: Nothing is impossible. The word itself says, "I’m Possible!" and always the same prayer: My God grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, COURAGE to change the things I can change and the WISDOM to know the difference. I have also been fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with François Russo (Maison Takuya) and Stephanie Grusenmeyer & Pieter Compernol (P. Tendercool), transforming the dog into a line of gold and diamond jewelry, creating a line of limited-edition sunglasses as well as collaborating on a line of tattooed chairs (Maison Close, Tantai Tattoo-artist). Lastly, I’d like to express our sincere gratitude to Isabelle Riccioni, for bringing us all together.
