About the Item
Stunning and masterful painting by Brazilian Artist Ivanilde Brunow, Silent Wood is from Brunow's series Icons of Nature. This mixed medium of acrylic, resin and charcoal with bold blues, black and white on canvas demonstrates a powerful abstract image of deep inside nature. Color is a little more subtle than in photograph.
Well known in her native country Brazil by critics, designers and architects alike she has now emerged here as bold abstract artist here in the United States. With over 150 solo and group exhibitions her work has been shown in the Brazilian Art Museum, FAAP in Sao Paulo; the Art Museum of Brasila; the Art Museum of Santa Catarina, Brazil and all the way to the Coffee Museum of Kobe, Japan and the Japanese Embassy.
Her work can be found in such institutional venues as banks, city halls, government offices, universities, theaters as well as private collections in Brazil, Israel, Japan, England and the United States.
In addition she has also exhibited in various shows at the UN in NYC, Westport and New Haven, CT as well as Brooklyn, NY.
