18th Century Italian Carved Giltwood, Silvered and Painted Decorative Wall Lyre
About the Item
Decorate a music room, den or office with this elegant and colorful antique wall mounted lyre. Crafted in Italy circa 1780, the large Classical Roman musical instrument featured two hand carved scrolls at the top, three strings form in the center above a large oval medallion and small floral rosettes on each side; the lyre adorns the original texture and wonderful colors in the gilt, silver, red and terracotta palette. The grand decorative lyre is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated finish. A one-of-a-kind for any harp or lyre lovers!
