Charming sampler with appealing colour and verse Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Set within a desirable maple frame with fine grain interest and caramel hues Displayed behind a clear, bright glazed panel Presents the alphabet in upper and lower case and a repeat of the alphabet in cursive An original verse embroidered between decorative icons Name, school and ate given as a pupil from the Winwick School, May 1850 Dressed to the rear with mounting braid for ease of hanging This is a fascinating antique needlepoint sampler, with lovely colour and school hall charm.
