    Torricellian antique barometer, complete with thermometer, made of mahogany wood with threads and decorations in other essences, English manufacture, signed Verga Macclesfield of the mid-19th century. Very good state in perfect working order. Height 100 cm - 39.37 inches, width 26 cm - 10.23 inches, depth 6 cm - 2.36 inches. When it was discovered, that changes of atmospheric pressure are connected to changes of weather, barometers became very popular.
