A French carved-wood plaque from the 19th century. This antique wall decoration from France features a rectangular-shaped frame, comprised of straight-boards, with center adorn in a hand-carved relief motif of scrolling acanthus leaves. There is a beautiful movement to this piece with the leaves dancing playfully about.
