About the Item
Rare French Art Deco ceramic plate created by Auguste Heiligenstein and executed by Odette Heiligenstein-Chatrousse, France, circa 1925. Showing a nude female with scarf in an erotic pose surrounded by flowers, berries, leaves and paradise birds in the colors green, red and blue on a golden gilt enameled ground in the typical Art Deco style. Artist mark OHC on the reverse. Faint light crackle effect to the front, some wear consistent with age and use. Very good original condition. Width of plate 26 cm / 10.24 inches.
