Harald Pryhn Winter Snow Scene Country Road Danish Painting Oil on Canvas Framed

About the Item

Harald Pryhn Winter Snow Scene Country Road Danish Painting Oil on Canvas Framed. Very Large Artwork , Winter Landscape Snow Scene Signed oil on Canvas – Harald Julius Niels Pryn Danish, 1891–1968, a Winter landscape depicting a rural country lane with snow drifting alongside the hedgerow. The painting is signed This painting is a charming picture from the popular oeuvre of the Danish landscape artist Harald Pryn. He had an obsession for snowy countryside scenes, and is the most coveted artist for this particular genre. He painted a great number of these winter landscapes, and Alpine Road is a particularly fine example, in which the artist has managed to capture the uniqueness of the cold light on a bright day in Northern Europe. The autumnal colors of the Alps are also excellently rendered, and one can virtually single out the different species of trees that flank the road, which have been depicted with almost photographic precision. Fine details include the stubbly stalks of grass which poke through the snow at the side of the track. Harald Julius Niels Pryn was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark in 1891. He was primarily a self-taught painter. His winter landscapes are held among the greatest produced by the stylistic Scandinavian School. Pryn's artwork is found internationally and is noted in Danish Museums, including the Museum of Art Rudersdal in Holte, Denmark. Although his popularity started in his hometown of Denmark it has expanded quickly to northern Europe. Harald Pryn's landscapes are heavily influenced by French Impressionism and Realism with a particular thematic focus on nature through the seasons, specifically, winter snow scenes. Harald Pryns work is becoming increasingly popular, as he is a well-listed artist with an extensive auction history. His artwork has been increasing in value since his death in 1968. Pryn tended to work around his home in Bagsvaerd, near Copenhagen, and he’s known primarily for his snow-covered wintery scenes. Expressionist Tactile Botanical Oil on Canvas Painting Framed
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
An exquisite example of this artist's traditional take on still-life realism, and a masterpiece in its own rite. This floral painting represents the artist's awe for botanical and floral scenes as well as his or her adept knowledge of tactile painting. With broad sweeping strokes and high texture, the artist paints a portrait of a small circular Ombre deep blue vase, filled with creamy white ranunculus or buttercups with berry color centers, green eucalyptus and small accents of white hydrangea. Oil on canvas. Framed roughly in a small wood frame, with gilt painted accent inside. How we would display: A botanical painting will forever bring a certain feeling of femininity and softness to a room. This piece would be wonderful displayed in a space with too many harsh lines. Alternatively, we suggest hanging this as part of a grouping of other floral portraits on a large wall to add interest. Another favorite of ours for art is to display pieces on their own in a bedroom. Such as a guestroom or child's room. Hung just above a nightstand (we currently love the idea of using a bombe chest), and just above a table lamp, (perhaps a lamp with a Caprani...
