Heinz Pinggera (Italian, b 1900) "A Recital for the Cardinal" oil on canvas within a gilt-wood and gesso frame. The interior 18th century rococo scene depicting a seated Cardinal or Bishop surrounded by a group of aristocrats at trio concert with a lady playing the pianoforte, a standing man playing the violin and a seated man playing the cello. Signed (l/r): H. Pinggera. Measures: Canvas height 29 1/4 inches (74.3 cm) Canvas width 40 inches (101.6 cm) Frame height 40 1/4 inches (102.2 cm) Frame width 51 inches (129.6 cm) Frame depth 4 inches (10.2 cm).

    Repaired: Touch ups. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. A beautiful painting. Overall condition is very good. One minor touch up/patch on middle right side. There are in-paint touch ups on upper left and lower right only visible under UV light. Please view all images.
