Japanese Antique Silk and Cotton Tapestry

About the Item

Wonderful and very rare Japanese tapestry made in the 1900s, made of woven silk and cotton, of absolute fineness. The tapestry is developed in length and width. It has a rectangular shape, embellished with a frame sewn with zigzag weave, in the nuanches of brown and gold colors. Centrally a landscape is clearly seen,. A small river can be seen flowing under a bridge, and the landscape is enlivened by plenty of grass and trees. In the background you can glimpse a typical Japanese house with a blue roof, topped by other houses. Something very rare. The tapestry is suitable for very important settings. It is supported by a wooden batten in its back.
