Japanese Paper Art / Wall Decoration / Wabi-sabi Mingei

About the Item

This is a wall decoration made of old Japanese paper. This paper is mainly used for sericulture, and an old Japanese paper called a cocoon bag used to transport cocoons is used. At that time, the cocoon bag made of paper was a product ordered by a special silk manufacturer, and only about 20% to 30% of the whole was made from the beginning, and the rest were all cotton bags, so it was a rare item. The part where the persimmon juice on the inside of the bag is randomly dyed is used and pasted on the panel. Wrinkles and color changes due to use are natural changes over time, and have the beauty of wabisabi and a unique appearance that cannot be expressed by human hands. A wire for mounting on the wall is attached to the back. You can change the vertical and horizontal directions to decorate according to your preference. If you want to decorate it vertically, please install the fittings separately. We recommend incorporating the beautiful changes of Japanese paper into the interior as a wall decoration. Weight: 1.3kg
