"Le Village" Ceramic Mural by Roger Capron

About

A very charming, stylized depiction of a village in Provence. Characteristically, Capron hints at both medieval art and post-war modern graphics, along with a healthy dose of folk. Gorgeous color and surface texture. Beautifully framed in unpainted solid hardwood. Please see my other, larger mural (image 4), elsewhere listed as 1stdibs ref. U1109278091588. The two pieces are of equal height (different lengths, though), and would look very well displayed together, giving the effect of neighbouring villages.
