About the Item

These sketches by Olle Bonnier are made as preworks for Olle Bonniers sculpture "The whisperer" that was executed in 1948. Chalk crayon on off-white pergament. Olle Bonnier was born in 1925 in Los Angeles. He was educated at the Technical School and studied with Isaac Grünewald and made several study trips to Europe. Bonniér expressed himself non-figuratively and was interested in the dynamics of colors and shapes. He had his big breakthrough with the exhibition "Young art" at Färg och Form, where the radical youth of the time were united in an intellectual association that came to be known as "1947 years men". Measurement: 37.5 x 49 cm without frames 44 x 56 cm with frames.
