19th Century Italian Pair of Cherub Paintings on Wood Baroque Syle Framed

About the Item

19th century pair of Putti oil paintings on wood, set of two walnut panels depicting woodland landscapes with cherubs playing of Italian origin. This set of two antique Italian putti Baroque style paintings dates back to mid 19th century and is in good age related condition with a few small old woodworm holes, as most of antique wooden panels, they are old but anyway both paintings have been disinfected. Set in modern giltowood frames, they come from a Lombard private collection. The figure of the putto, traditionally linked to a childlike conduct of life, allegorically enhances the everyday life happiness and beauty, obtainable from concrete elements around us. In these pair of panels the cherubs depicted are playing placidly within a woodland landscape. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 50 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2 handling weeks circa to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.   Measures: Height: 40.7 (46.5) cm Width: 26.5 (32.3) cm Depth: 3 cm.
