African-American Woman Life Study Painting by Leonard Buzz Wallace

About the Item

Purchased directly from the estate of William Buzz Wallace. Straight from his studio. Wallace taught fine art at Orange County Community College, Middletown, NY. He also exhibited extensively durning his lifetime. His studio was in Sullivan County, NY. Here the artist has rendered an early life study oil painting on canvas of an African-American woman. Circa 1950-60. Signed on reverse, Buzz, which was his nickname. The piece is in good overall condition with no visible punctures, rips, tears or restorations. Some very minor surface paint scuffs and losses. Some minor paint spatter (see photo). Some staining on the reverse. Approximately .75" deep x 24" wide x 42" high. Unframed.
