Andrew Plum Diwali Festival of Lights Contemporary Abstract Painting 2013
About the Item
“Diwali Festival of Lights” is an original, one-of-a-kind, blue, green, orange, yellow, red, gray, pink, cream, white, black, contemporary, acrylic on canvas abstract painting. Vibrant pops of color work in harmony to create this unique, contemporary work of art by Andrew Plum. Signed, titled and dated "PLUM 2013" recto and verso of the canvas; canvas size - 40" x 30" x 1" profile. Andrew Plum was born in Lancashire, England in 1965 and moved to Canada at the age of 21. His long association with the fine art and antiques business, particularly Asian works of art, influences Plum's work. His vibrant paintings are characterized by sensuous use of color and pallet work. One could call it Abstract Expressionism or Automatism, but Plum’s colorful, often winsome or enlightening stories and travels emerge seamlessly through the abstraction, creating a unique and bold history of images open to interpretation. Andrew Plum’s works are held in numerous corporate and private collections.
