Dutch early 19th century faux painted Burl Wood and Fruitwood copper painting
About the Item
A high quality and most beautiful Dutch early 19th century faux painted Burl Wood and ebonized Fruitwood Oil on Copper painting. This wonderful rectangular still-life painting is framed within its original ebonized Fruitwood and faux painted Burl wood frame. The frame is decorated with a mottled wrap around band around the outer and inner edges. The mid section of the frame displays a checkered pattern of ebonized Fruitwood and faux painted Burl wood. The colorful painting showcases a display tray of oysters, dates, grapes, cabbage, citrus fruits, olives, cherries, and salt shaker. The collection on the tray indicates the tray was in use with the salt shaker laying on its side and the lemon being partially peeled. Wonderful and intricate attention to detail throughout.
