Oil on canvas. Signed at the right bottom and dated. stamped at the back with the n°338 from Salkin inventory. The back of the canvas depicts an accomplished work of yellow, pink and blue balls on a green ground. Exhibition : Musée d’Art Moderne d’Ostende, 2002. Literature : The painting is featured page 61 of the Ostende exhibition catalog. Comments : « Je fais des locomotives à vapeur, souvenirs vivaces de mon enfance et de mon adolescence » (Letter from Emile Salkin to Elisabeth and René Huin, 23rd décember 1976).
