English Six Panel Chinoiserie Polychrome Decorated Leather Screen, circa 1700
Very Fine English Six Panel Chinoiserie Decorated and Gilt Tooled Leather Screen, the center painted in vibrant original colors with birds and flowering branches with a border of symbolic antiques, all in imitation of a 17th century Chinese Coromandel lacquer screen, retaining the original hand hewn gilt nails. English circa 1700. Measures: Height 75 ½”, Length 10’. Width each panel: 20”. This screen can be floor standing or hung flat as a painting.
