About the Item
Painted by Antoinette Schulte, a widely-respected artist in New York, who exhibited and taught widely, this painting depicts male and female nudes sheltered by the boughs of a tree heavy with fruit. The female figure is holding a tray laden with fruit, and the male figure is holding an empty basket. The colors throughout the painting are rich and saturated, ranging from deep browns to violet and crimson. The medium is gouache on board. (Dimensions include frame).
