Wonderful impressionist painting by highly regarded New Jersey artist and teacher John R. Grabach, (1886-1981)
This work is oil on canvas laid on board and measures: 12 1/4" H x 16" W. Grabach is represented in museums and collections throughout the world.
"Woman Fixing Her Hair" is titled and signed on the verso and also signed "John R. Grabach ANA" lower left (Associate National Academy)
The subject depicts a maid hanging out the wash in the background while a red-haired woman fixes her hair after her bath.
The painting is in excellent condition and presents in a period frame measuring: 19 1/2" H x 23 1/2" W.
