About

A incredible large 73.5" W x 64.5" H mixed-media framed painting by the late Chicago Abstract Expressionist, Harry Bouras (1931-1990). Titled "Silent Time Piece", signed and dated August 1976 en verso. This artwork features a highly textured abstract composition combining oil paint and plaster on canvas. Horizontal distressed lines in the plaster stand out in the sophisticated dark grayish brown color by creating a textured relief. Minimalist and modern. Cracking and distressing in the artwork is inherent to Mr. Bouras's process. Framed in a 3.5" deep wooden frame in the same color tone as the artwork. Artist Bio upon request.
