About the Item
Large figural abstract painted by Robert D. Smeltzer in the 1960's. Mr. Smeltzer was born in 1933, graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago in 1969, was a founder of the Bucktown Arts Fest in 1983. He continues to live and paint in Chicago.
This colorful oil on board depicts six individuals attending the execution of documents, and is entitled "The Signature." Mr. Smeltzer has kindly authenticated this painting.
