About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare original 19th century watercolor brush painting depicting a scene of typical every day Chinese life retailed through Liberty London.
The back label reads:-
An original Canton Brush painting in watercolours on pith paper, depicting a scene typical of everyday life. Pith is a pure white fibrous paper made from the soft spongy tissue at the centre of the Aralia Papyrifera. Chinese mid-19th century. Mounted on contemporary double coloured co-ordinated mat board.
The item is in brand new retail condition still in the original plastic cover
