A striking and most charming pair of continental 19th century oil on canvas paintings. Each beautiful painting is set within its original giltwood frame with finely carved wrap around beaded and foliate designs. The painting to the left depicts personages on horses and their dog following along with handlers tending to their birds. The painting to the right depicts a beautiful and most charming scene set in the superb Italian countryside with ladies dressed in period attire seated with a horse while a young body and his dog are walking in the foreground. In the background are ruins with an impressive urn. Lovely subject manner and fine attention to detail throughout.
